SassyTuna Cancellation Policies

As a professional studio, we have a mandate to offer our services to the public and to attempt to make the teaching program as accessible as possible. We strive to make sure that no family is turned away, and with that in mind we make every effort to keep our costs to a minimum. For this reason we will continue to implement a strict cancellation/make-up lesson policy. This is done to ensure the program can remain at its current cost and to remove any confusion between parents/guardians and SassyTuna in respect to our policy.

Make-Up lessons, provided a week before Easter, are given under the following circumstances:

1. Metro area schools are closed due to inclement weather. This applies when ALL Metro schools are closed for the day or the afternoon. If schools are closed for the morning and re-open in the afternoon then teaching will go ahead.

2. If inclement weather begins after the school day the SassyTuna office will make a decision on cancelling lessons. Parents/guardians will be contacted VIA TWITTER and FB page (An email will be sent as well, however some emails bounce, so please check these avenues first)

3. MAKE-UP days: 1 week before EASTER is set up as make-up time. The year consists of 33 classes, so if we miss any due to inclement weather, they are made up in that time period. If there are no storm make-up classes, we do not hold classes during that time.

If a student misses a class due to illness/ time conflict, they are able to pick up a class any time during the week that cooperates with their age slot (ie Monday 3:30 could be picked up on Thursday - THAT WEEK- at 5:15 - if they can’t make it for that Monday session) A maximum of 2 consecutive weeks is this allowed, however, to be fair to all students.

***Also continuous make-up lessons cannot be given at any time for conflicts in schedules such as sports events, social events or other after school activities.
