Art, Coding, Video Game Creation, Animation, Digital Drawing, Workshops, Paint Workshops, and Art Retreats: they are all SassyTuna Studio’s specialties. We teach AND we create all these and more. We do these with film, coding and art professionals. We offer annual programming (September-June), 5-6 week programs, and one-time workshops for children, young people and adults.

When your child registers for SassyTuna’s art or digital classes they’ll learn an original, customizable curriculum from professional artists, designers, and animators. They’ll bring home a portfolio jammed with art, drawing resources, and skills that will last a lifetime.
SassyTuna has been offering childrens’ digital and traditional art classes for more than 20 years and most of our students stay with the program for five years or more, building lifelong friendships along the way.
I have had the privilege of working with artist Julie Lewis on several occasions through The Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council. She is a very intellectual person, a highly trained artist who freely shares a wide variety of personal experiences with her students. Her passion for animation and design is infectious and her knowledge is unmistakable.
Where do I start? Julie Lewis is one of the most incredible teachers, parents, and all-around person I have ever known. Art class with Julie was always a fun, energetic, and encouraging atmosphere, and I looked forward to going every week!
Julie is a tireless worker, completely dedicated to her craft. She's a joy and inspiration to be around and definitely a role model for young artists everywhere.
